MCH students and day students at the University of Texas–University Charter School participated in a first of its kind “Reality Check” event. The event taught students how to properly budget their monthly income based on the career they selected. Real-life expenses such as doctors’ visits or car accidents were also thrown into the mix. Students were guided by various MCH staff from the Accounting and Human Resources departments, Transition Services and Independent Living, as well as partners from McLennan Community College, Equipment Depot, Douglass Nissan, and H-E-B. Thank you to all of our partners for helping our students gain additional knowledge about life after high school!
