About Community Engagement & Training
Methodist Children’s Home (MCH) operates with a strategic commitment to support and empower like-minded organizations and groups by sharing expertise and training. Through the partnership between MCH and the Karyn Purvis Institute for Child Development (KPICD) and the designation as a TBRI Ambassador Organization, MCH offers the following training opportunities:
Connected Curriculum
With the permission of the KPICD, MCH has created and can deliver more general TBRI introductions through the Connected Curriculum:

TBRI Caregiver Package
A four-day training (six hours a day) involving:
Day 1: TBRI Introduction and Overview
Day 2: TBRI Connecting Principles
Day 3: TBRI Empowering Principles
Day 4: TBRI Correcting Principles

John Warren (MDiv, LCCA), Community Engagement and Training Specialist, has worked at Methodist Children’s Home since 2005 and spent a decade as director of the Training department. In addition to holding facilitator certifications in American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED, Nurturing Parenting, and Circle of Security Parenting, John is an SAMA Master Facilitator and a TBRI practitioner and mentor. MCH has many other experienced and capable employees that John can utilize to personalize your training/consulting needs.
