Methodist Children’s Home recently celebrated student achievements in both academics and extracurricular activities for the 2018-19 school year during special events at Johnson Student Center. These students attend the Methodist Children’s Home charter school, located on the Waco campus and operated in partnership with the University of Texas – University Charter School system.
At the academic luncheon, 80 awards were given out to students for their hard work in the classroom. Along with awards for English, math, science, social studies and art, students on the A/B Honor Roll and A Honor Roll were honored. Members of Bulldog Pride, a student leadership group, also received awards.
Students involved in extracurricular activities, including athletics, FFA and afterschool programs, were celebrated during the activities banquet. After dinner, MCH staff members handed out awards to the top performing students of the year.
