College was something Eli had never considered. He dropped out of high school twice before his junior year, and with financial struggles at home, he said school just didn’t seem important. In August 2018, Eli’s mother said she found a place that would be good for him. She sent him to Methodist Children’s Home, and Eli found the structure he needed.

New Mexico is called the “Land of Enchantment.” It is known for its desert and mountain landscapes, Southwestern culture, flavorful cuisine, and outdoor adventure. With all that it offers, unfortunately there is another side to New Mexico. Statistics show families in the state are struggling. Methodist Children’s Home identified the extreme need in New Mexico and opened two offices to serve families in its communities.

FFA students from the MCH charter school competed in the Crawford FFA livestock show in Clifton, Texas, on Oct. 26 followed by the Holiday Classic at the Bell County Expo Center on Nov. 2-3. Our MCH Bulldogs celebrated Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 18. The six-man football team defeated Parkview Christian 57-12 at Bulldog Field. Congratulations to Joseph and Tianna who were named Homecoming King and Queen! Senior Court nominees were: Lena, M’Kenzie, Faith, Reggie, Solomon, and Elijah.
