The Methodist Children’s Home Alumni Association (MCHAA) gathered in Waco over Easter weekend to celebrate its annual homecoming reunion. Activities during homecoming included an annual craft sale, auction, an Easter egg hunt for the children and grandchildren of alumni, campus tours, a time remembering alumni who died since the last gathering, and a ministry report from MCH President and CEO Trey Oakley. The weekend concluded with a worship service in the Harrell Memorial Chapel and a traditional Easter luncheon. The MCHAA honored Amy Ellis, an MCH resident from 1985-89, with the annual distinguished alumni award. Ahmad Washington, lead advisor to the president of MCH, received the distinguished staff of the year award.

Kelly were you raised there from early childhood or went as a teenager? I left in 72 at 18 yrs. old. Marrird a girl from there that left in 73. Her brother Ron Cassell may have been there when you were.
Kelly were you there in 1972?
Eddie Leininger 1957-1972. Cooper Cottage-Fondern. Probably the finest children’s home a child could be raised in. Sure their were negatives but the positives far outweighed them. So many brothers and sisters I love to this day. May God continue to bless this beautiful campus and the individuals that support it!
