After a distinguished career leading Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, Texas, our president has given notice that he intends to retire in the summer of 2019. The MCH Board of Directors is seeking applicants to be considered to fill the position of president.
Methodist Children’s Home (MCH) is nationally-accredited and has provided care for children since 1890. MCH serves children through residential programs on its Waco campus and Boys Ranch, and through foster care and other programs for children and families through MCH Family Outreach locations in Texas and New Mexico. MCH has approximately 365 employees and has long been recognized for its innovative and caring services to children and families.
In 2018, MCH served approximately 244 residents at two facilities in Waco and an adjoining area and more than 5,000 children and families in various programs in Texas and New Mexico.
The president is the chief executive officer of Methodist Children’s Home and is charged with the management, direction and Christian leadership of the agency and its staff. The president supervises the entire staff and reports to the Board of Directors and will reside in Waco, Texas.
The person to be considered for president should have a master’s degree or graduate degree in such areas as social work, theology, education, business management, or finance. Previous experience as an administrator or appreciable supervision in a social service agency providing care for children is required.
The Board of Directors intends to take applications commencing on January 15, 2019, and conduct an interview and selection process resulting in the choice of the new president by May 2019. Applications should be submitted by mail to:
